In April, Corteva joined the NMSDC Council: Mid-States MSDC and their president, Carolyn Mosby for the annual meeting conference and matchmaker Impact Through Opportunities in Carmel, Indiana.
The day included a panel discussion on Opportunities in Food and Agriculture with Corteva’s Chief Procurement Officer, Craig Reed and State of Indiana Department of Agriculture’s Suzi Spahr. Shelley Stewart, retired DuPont VP, former CPO, and new chairman of the Billion Dollar Roundtable, delivered the keynote address. She passionately supported inclusion of diverse suppliers in all aspects of the supply chain as a business imperative.
This engagement with suppliers and government leaders is the first of many, as the company emerges from the DowDuPont merger and spins as a stand alone pure-play agriculture company on June 1, 2019.
Later this year, the global procurement team will participate in a number of procurement forums in countries around the globe.
